What every teacher gets
Each seat carries the full Busy teacher allowance — the same plan an individual teacher pays R220 a month for. Every paper comes with its complete marking memo at no extra cost.
Per teacher, per month. Allowances refresh monthly and unused papers roll over for one month. Memos never count against the allowance.

The term is applied on top: a 6-month licence bills at 5.5 months (half a month free) and a 12-month licence bills at 10 months (two months free).
What to expect
Ordering
- Email us the number of teachers and your preferred term. We send a written quote.
- We invoice the school or department. Payment is by EFT, and we accept a purchase order.
- Once payment clears, teachers are live within 3 working days.
- The term runs for 6 or 12 months from the activation date, not from the school calendar — so you get the full term you paid for whenever you start.
Managing teachers
- Teachers sign in with their own school email address. Papers and history stay in the teacher's own account.
- If a teacher leaves, their seat can be reassigned to a colleague for the rest of the term at no charge.
- Adding teachers mid-term is pro-rated to your renewal date, at the rate your new total qualifies for.
If a teacher needs more
The allowance suits normal setting load with room to spare. If a teacher does run out before the month resets, the licence has a shared top-up pool: credits belong to the whole group, and any teacher draws on them once their own monthly allowance is used up. An exam paper costs 8 credits, a short test 4, a quiz 3 and an assessment 2.
Whoever the licence is registered to can buy credits by card, or ask us to add them to an invoice — email support@markmaker.co.za with the quantity and we'll load them onto the licence. Credits never expire and carry across months.
What a teacher already using Mark Maker should do
If a teacher is already paying for their own plan and the school then covers them, tell us — we'll pause their personal subscription so they aren't paying twice, and it resumes if they ever leave the licence.
